Tree Climbing 2017 – Season 12!

banner image that says season 12!

It’s hard to believe that we are just about to start our twelfth tree climbing season on the Isle of Wight. The winter seems to have a flown by as usual and it’s wonderful to see the spring colours around. We can’t wait to get the ropes back into our tree. Although our official opening is April 1st (no joke) we’re actually climbing on March 26th by special request for a birthday party.  If you’d like to book an Easter tree climb we have online booking available here.

I know many people think we lounge around all winter, but in actual fact we stay really busy – doing all the things in the office we put off from the summer and making plans for the next year. Some of us get to go to Costa Rica to teach tree climbing, but that’s another story….

We’re delighted to say that in 2017 we will of course be climbing in Appley Park. We’re going to be back in the gorgeous tree in Northwood Park for Cowes Week (booking online will be available shortly) and of course we’ll be back at the Countryside Show in Leicestershire on August Bank Holiday Monday.

If you fancy a little bit of Goodleaf Tree Climbing without going up a tree, our lovely instructor Matt will be leading a family friendly walk around Appley Park on May 1st as part of IsleWalk2017 (Isle of Wight Walking Festival). Have a read here for more information.

We know from your comments on TripAdvisor that you really rate our staff. Did you know that they are all resting teachers?! With all that teaching talent we’ve been creating new packages for schools including Year 7 STaRT – a tree climbing experience that helps the new year group bond, integrate and develop new skills. It’s been created with teachers in mind and it also includes a range of resources for post climb lessons. Do contact us if you’d like to find out more.

Thank you to everyone who filled out out customer feedback survey last December – we’ve implemented a few changes based on your suggestions including a new pricing structure and group prices for groups of three people or more.

We loved reading all your feedback and we’ve got a couple more things to announce later this year including somewhere very special to sleep and we’ll be tree climbing at a major festival. Oh and we might finally have a great mainland location….

If you’d like to keep up to date on what we’re up do, find us on Facebook – we’re going to be running a fantastic competition on there in April to win a private climb + accommodation + ferry crossings – it’s worth tuning in!

Hope to see you over season 12, do say hello if you’re passing the tree.

Abi
