29/06/09 Ascend in Appley this summer!
We are delighted to announce that supported by the Isle of Wight Council (to whom we say a big thank you) we will be climbing in Appley Park, Ryde, IW on Sundays from 12th July to 30th August 2009 - weather permitting. Yay!
The climbs will run from 11 am to 4 pm and last approximately 1 hr. We’re not taking bookings in advance, just pop along on the day & we can take you high up into the canopy where you will enjoy spectacular views across the Solent.
The climbs will cost £10 a session. You’ll need to be aged 10 or over, have trainers on your feet and we advise wearing long sleeves & trousers. Shorts & a t shirt are ok if it’s hot (fingers crossed), you'll just need to be careful on the bark.
Look forward to seeing you then, we’ll be opposite Appley Tower, next door to the play park; look out for the Goodleaf banner!
See the map below for our super spot. (Google seem to think that there are lots of Appley Towers. We'll be in the tree closest to the letter B!)
